Welsh Rarebit with Beer (1952)

  • 1 1/2 lbs sharp cheddar cheese, diced
  • 1/3 bottle beer
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 tbspn butter
  • 1 tbspn Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • Toast
Melt butter in double boiler. Add cheese and beer, and allow cheese to melt. 

Stir in salt, egg and Worcestershire. Serve at once over toast.  Makes 6 servings.
