- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 tbspns butter
- 1 lb stewed tomatoes
- 10 oz chicken broth or consomme
- 1/2 cup dry white table wine
- 3 tbspns chopped green onion
- 1 tbspn lemon juice
- 1 tbspn cornstarch, blended with 1/2 cup water
- Dash of curry powder, to taste
- Cheese croutons (optional)
Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with cheese croutons. Makes 6 servings.
