- 1/2 cup butterscotch pieces
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tspn baking powder
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 tspn salt
- 1/2 tspn vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Melt the butterscotch pieces and butter in a 3-quart saucepan, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Add flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and egg to butterscotch mixture.
Fold marshmallows, chocolate pieces, and nuts into saucepan mixture until evenly combined. Spread in a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overbake. Center will be jiggly, but becomes firm upon cooling.
