Austrian Cinnamon Coffee Cake (1906)

  • 4 cupfuls of flour
  • 1 teaspoonful of salt
  • 2 teaspoonfuls of baking powder
  • 5 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 tablespoonfuls of sugar
  • 2 cupfuls of milk
  • 1 tablespoonful of softened butter
  • Cinnamon
Mix thoroughly except for spice, spread in buttered baking pan.    
Dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake in quick oven.  Serve hot.
