Alabama Twice-Baked Potatoes with Bacon (1967)

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 strips crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbspn chopped chives
  • Garlic and salt, to taste
  • 2 tbspns grated Cheddar cheese
Bake potatoes. Scoop potatoes from shells; mash with sour cream and milk. 

Mix in the bacon, chopped onion, chives, garlic, and salt. Fill shells, and to with Cheddar cheese. Bake 1/2 hour at 300 to 350 degrees. Serves 4.
