- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 3 tbspns milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tspn baking powder
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1/2 tspn each cinnamon and cloves
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Blend together Crisco, honey, egg, and salt. Add milk and dry sifted ingredients.
Stir in chocolate and chopped nuts. (Chocolate in cake or bar form should be broken into small pieces.)
Drop dough from teaspoon onto a greased cooky sheet or shallow baking pan. Bake in a moderately hot oven, 375 degrees, about 15 minutes or until delicately browned.
